Thomas Binggeli, a 17-year-old bike enthusiast, started making his own bikes. And as often it goes in the cycling world it has become his business, finally bearing his nickname 'Thömu', in 1998.
Today it makes variety of bikes including urban, trekking, mountain and, of course, electric; and they are assembled in Thörishaus, Switzerland.
It is a very well known bike company locally. They even have a dedicated team driving around and servicing owner bikes at their own home throughout the country.
They recently started bringing some attention to their latest electric MTB bike designs in the 'Lightrider' range. It is a quite nice looking bike that already won number of awards.
As every solid bike company, they have a long list of Swiss and global race awards and have racer endorsements almost from the day company started making bikes.
INTERESTING STORY: Thomus was always known for organising cycling events and trials. But he also had a 'Thömus Snowfarm' events for over ten years until 2018. They organised events and camps and sold their own skiing equipment under the same brand.
